Where were you when the pandemic hit? While the shock of COVID-19 was fresh, the Quebec Writers' Federation sent out a call to its members asking for short descriptions of life under lockdown. Written and posted online between April 6 and May 26 of 2020, these dispatches are first-person stories of hunkering down. Join us to discuss community, isolation, and writing in lockdown. In collaboration with the Quebec Writers' Federation and the Blue Metropolis Festival, editors Linda M. Morra and Marianne Ackerman and, with QWF, Lori Schubert and Rachel McCrum will discuss the anthology's inception in the first weeks of the Covid-19 lockdown and what community in the time of Covid-19 means to us now exactly one year from the time these essays were first written. Invited contributors will read their work.
