Eva Tihanyi

Eva Tihanyi's eighth book, Flying Underwater: Poems New and Selected was published in September 2012. She has taught at Niagara College since 1989 and currently divides her time between Toronto and Port Dalhousie (St. Catharines, ON). Born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1956, Tihanyi came to Canada at the age of six. She grew up in Windsor and spent the eighties in Toronto, where she taught at Seneca, Humber, and George Brown. She holds a masters degree in creative writing (thesis advisor: Alistair MacLeod) as well as an Honours B.A. in English Language and Literature, and a three-year communication diploma (journalism major). For many years she wrote freelance reviews for the Toronto Star, National Post and Books in Canada.
