Paul Chamberland
Poet and essayist Paul Chamberland, born in Longueuil, Quebec, in 1939, has won many awards for his writing, including: the Prix de l'essai from the Spirale revue, in 2000, for En nouvelle barbarie, and the prix Victor-Barbeau from l'Académie des lettres du Québec, in 2005, for Une politique de la douleur. In 2007, he was awarded the Athanase-David prize.
