Cora Siré

Cora Siré is the author of a previous collection of poems and two novels. Her poetry, fiction and essays have appeared in many anthologies and magazines in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

Her most recent novel, Behold Things Beautiful, was a 2017 finalist for the QWF’s Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction. The Other Oscar was shortlisted for Quattro Books’ Ken Klonsky Novella Contest in 2015. Her debut collection of poetry, Signs of Subversive Innocents, includes a poem which received honorary mention for the 2008 Best Canadian Poem.

She has participated in literary events and readings across Canada, in the U.S. and in Europe. Born in Canada, she often writes of elsewheres, drawing on her encounters in faraway places as well as her family’s history of displacement. She lives in Montréal.
