Clément Marchand
Born in 1912 in Sainte-Genevieve-de-Batiscan, Clément Marchand is a seminal figure in Quebec literature, standing at the crossroads between the country and the city, between the 19th century and the 20th. He was twice awarded the Prix Athanase-David and was a member of both the Royal Society of Canada and the Société des écrivains français. He died on April 22, 2013.
