Jean-Charles Vegliante
Jean-Charles Vegliante is a scholar, poet, and a leading translator of Italian poetry into French. Professor of Italian language, culture and literature at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3, he has translated the likes of Dante Alighieri, Giacomo Leopardi, Gabriele d’Annunzio, Eugenio Montale, and Pier Paolo Pasolini. In 2009, he received the Giacomo Leopardi Prize.
