Emanuel di Pasquale
Emanuel di Pasquale was born in Sicily and emigrated to the United States in December of 1956. He earned a BA from Adelphi University in 1965, and an MA from NYU in 1966. He taught English at Elizabeth City State University, North Carolina, from 1966 to 1968. Since then, he has been teaching English (Children’s Literature, Creative Writing) at Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. The author of a number of books, the latest being Harvest (Bordighera Press), he has also published a children’s book, Cartwheel to the Moon (Carus Books). He has translated numerous Italian poets, the latest being Dante’s La Vita Nuova. For his translation of Silvio Ramat’s poetry, the Academy of American Poets awarded him the Raiziss/de Palchi Fellowship in 2002.
